Hi again, late Sunday night:
This a.m., I attended worship at the Farmer Memorial Presbyterian Church in Rawlins, WY. The church is in between pastors, and their interim pastor's last Sunday with them was last weekend. A Commissioned Lay Pastor--almost with completed studies---Virginia Senne was in the pulpit this Sunday. Virginia, and her husband Roger, have made trips to led worship at pastorless churches in rural areas of Australia since 2000.
After church, I was invited to join the church group for lunch. Sound familiar, FPCOR folks? They sent me off with a small loaf of bread, and instructions that the non-interstate road to Casper would be good driving. Works for me. I was sharing with them that I had difficulty finding the church, hoping there would be a sign. Well, Judy T. shared that the sign had just been taken down, anticipating the new sign that had just arrived. You may be able to see it sitting, still wrapped, in front of the entrance doors of the church building. We had a good laugh over the sign not being up quite yet to help me find the church.
I stopped at an historic site of one of the spots on the Mormon Trail---the path that a group of Mormons used to go west from Iowa and Illinois to Salt Lake City. The story that is told at this site, on a former ranch, sure makes one appreciate our good roads and good cars to travel in.

Arriving at Casper, WY about 7 p.m. tonight, I encountered my first significant rain shower of this whole trip--since leaving TN on June 4.
Tomorrow (Monday), after doing some laundry, I am off to Billings, Montana.
